Make a Difference

EI established its program in Granada, Nicaragua in 2004 where it has been working within an impoverished barrio outside the city called “Villa Esperanza”. EI’s program has now grown to provide access to education to over 250 children. Since 2005 EI also established a medical assistance program to allow the children to receive medical treatment.

The children EI works with show immense courage and initiative and work very hard to balance school and work. Most of the kids do not have proper homes or health facilities and have to work to add to their family income.The impoverished children helped by EI get new hopes in their lives and start on the path to a happier life.

You can help these kids in their struggles for a better life. Here are a few ideas to make a difference in their lives.

Spread the word:

Tell your friends about our organization.
Use our website link on your blog or website to encourage people to read about us.
Write an article about street kids and EI for your local newspaper or e-newspaper.
Place the link of our website along with a short message to help needy kids on your email signature.

Volunteer:

The team at Empowerment International is a diverse cross-section of professionals and volunteers who work virtually from the far corners of the earth. If you would like to get involved, either by working virtually from your hometown or joining us in Nicaragua, we would be thrilled!
